This type A-2 flight jacket belonged to Leonard J. Otten, a pilot attached to the 571st Squadron of the 390th Bomb Group. On the front of the jacket is the 571st Squadron insignia patch, a wolf in uniform gripping a bomb. Above the patch is a name plate reading “L.J. Otten”. There is no artwork on the back to identify to the aircraft Otten flew, or the amount of missions Otten participated in.
